During COVID, friends Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen felt that their (combined) seven children were beginning to act entitled. Specifically, they weren't doing much housework - and they thought their parents could buy virtually anything at the click of a button. Realising there was a bigger problem around financial literacy for children, the pair decided to create an app - My First Nest Egg. In this podcast, Nicolle and Annie discuss incentivising housework through gamification, teaching financial literacy and lean innovation.

Hannah Andrevski is the founder and CEO of Roundabout Canberra. In 2018 Hannah was on maternity leave with a newborn and a toddler, and after struggling to find somewhere to pass on her pre-loved baby items, she decided to do something about it. Roundabout Canberra rehomes pre-loved baby and children's items to local families experiencing hardship. Four years on, they've helped approximately 5000 children with essential items such as cots, prams, car seats, clothing, linen, toys, school-related items and toiletries.
