33. Lacey Filipich from Money School talks about buying her first property at 19 and achieving financial independence

Lacey Filipich is author of Money School:  become financially independent and reclaim your life.  A former chemical engineer who spent time working in Kalgoorlie, Lacey founded Money School with her mum 2010 - and more recently founded Maker Kids to help teach financial education to children.  

Lacey is one of the chief organisers of a virtual summit called Money Debates, which brings together over 40 finance experts to explore different views on key financial issues.  Money Debates opens on 24 August and runs until 4 September.

Jess is one half of The Fioneers, a financial independence blog.  Jess is on her way to financial independence while working part-time.  The Fioneers won the Plutus Award in 2019 for the best new personal finance blog.

Aussie Firebug is an Australian, currently living in London, who blogs and podcasts about his Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) path.  He is a bit of a legend in the FIRE community, where his no-nonsense tell it as it is approach has earned him over 13,000 subscribers. In this episode, he has an honest chat with Serina about how 2020 has disrupted his (and Mrs Firebug's) European travel plans, how they are investing, and his views on the controversial topic of whether or not to withdraw money from superannuation.
